Induction Video- The waiting room
Production process
To begin, we planned the shots we were going to film. We wrote down the location, type of shot angle and lighting needed to ensure we had the best shots. We then headed to the first location to begin filming. We used a tripod and a Canon EOS 700D to shoot the footage. Many problems arrived due to the lack of effort from the group, many found it hard to concentrate and decided to wonder. Outside factors also became a problem, for example the weather was not the same throughout the couple days of filming. One day it was raining and the next it was warm and sunny-which effected the continuity and editing later on.
Post production-editing etc
Editing became a problem as we managed to lose a small selection of our footage, which then resulted in an overall failure when achieving 20 shots. Our project became distorted and some main shots were missing. As a result, it was hard to put together a film full of errors. Although we had not lost all the shots, so we gathered the ones that did not go missing and attempted to create a story from shots we did have. We added two time laps's into the film to create the impression of a busy corridor which would contrast the quiet corridor in which Oscar enters and the bag gets exchanged from one person to another. evidently this could have been much more visible.
Continuity issues and analysis
Overall it could have been much better if we had a good story line, as this was not the case, it became messy and confusing. The lighting changed throughout the film which caused a continuity error. This also occurred when passing over the bag, as due to the angle of the shot, an audience member could not tell if it was passed or not. Overall, it could have been improved yet as a group we are aware of where and how to improve.
