The Night Lights The music and overall lack of light makes the film very relaxing, giving off an overall ambient feel to it. The light lines during the film at 0:42 seconds creates the impression that the 'person' on the left is much more closed off in comparison to the one on the right-this is shown by the character on the left being much darker and also sitting back whilst the character on the right is brighter and sat forwards, leaning on the table. The use of the lines at 0:44 seconds are used to create a time lap' of cars rushing past-giving the impression that although it is dark out, it is very busy. The lights used to create a trio of characters sitting together creates the impression of a busy yet empty environment as none of the characters have facial expressions or features. Production process To begin, we planned the shots we were going to film. We wrote down the location, type of shot angle and lighting needed to ensure we had the best shots. We then headed to the first location to begin filming. We used a tripod and a Canon EOS 700D to shoot the footage. Many problems arrived due to the lack of effort from the group, many found it hard to concentrate and decided to wonder. Outside factors also became a problem, for example the weather was not the same throughout the couple days of filming. One day it was raining and the next it was warm and sunny-which effected the continuity and editing later on. Post production-editing etc Editing became a problem as we managed to lose a small selection of our footage, which then resulted in an overall failure when achieving 20 shots.
